The Heath Police Department is investigating an afternoon robbery at a PNC Bank Branch on Hebron Road.
Police Chief Tony Shepherd says his department received an alert of an activated hold-up alarm around 12:15 p.m.
When one of his patrolmen was en route to the scene, he says a customer who witnessed the crime called in to give a description of the get-a-way car.

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office was called to the Community Bank in South Zanesville this afternoon to investigate a bomb threat. Deputies say it happened just before 1:00 pm after a male called in the threat. Authorities evacuated the bank and a bomb sniffing dog was brought in to help investigate. Deputies say no bomb was found inside or outside of the bank and everything was determined to be clear. The incident remains under investigation.
The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office is responding to a morning robbery in the downtown area.
It happened at Home Loan and Saving Bank on 6th and Walnut Streets.
Authorities are still on the scene of the incident.
