Family and friends of a deceased Zanesville woman gathered at the Bible Methodist Church for a benefit in her honor.

33-year-old Laurie Flowers was found dead in a family member's garage on McIntire Avenue in January.

Saturday's benefit featured an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner, a raffle drawing and a Chinese auction.

All of the money raised will help her three children...

The Dresden community is helping out one of its own.

Sons of the American Legion Post 399 is hosting a benefit for Andrew Prince. He is a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force and was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma several months ago. He is currently receiving treatment in Arizona. The group wanted to raise money to help ease his medical expenses.

The community supports a fellow veteran and biker tonight at A Benefit for Brandon.

After getting seriously injured in an ammunition dump explosion in Iraq, Brandon received The Purple Heart. But Brandon's hardship did not end there, this past October, he was in a motorcycle accident in Crooksville causing him to have five surgeries. Brandon's girlfriend Shelly says she thanks the community for coming out tonight to Old Licking View School and supporting Brandon with their donations....

One Zanesville family is asking the community to help a local hero.

Mother Kelly Salisbury says her 28-year-old son Brandon Shaver joined the military when he was 19.  While he was in Iraq, he was seriously injured in an ammunition dump explosion.  He was then awarded The Purple Heart in Washington D.C.

The community is rallying behind one local boy, who they say is quite the fighter.

A benefit was held for eight-year-old Cameron Taylor at Adamsville Elementary School. He was diagnosed this past June with a rare form of bone cancer; part of his leg had to be removed in September after chemotherapy treatments were successful.

A special cause is giving bikers another chance to ride.

More than 80 bikers gathered for a poker run at East End Cafe to benefit Cindy Sharrer. Sharrer was assaulted last month after a man robbed the Lighthouse Inn where she was working, threw her in a cooler and attempted to light the building on fire.

A Zanesville mother says she is thankful for her family and friends.

A benefit was held Saturday afternoon at Terry's Tavern in honor of her son, Tyler Hardin, 19, who was murdered in July.

The community is also remembering a Zanesville Man who lost his life on the Y-Bridge last month.

Family and friends held a benefit Saturday afternoon to help raise money for Ryan McCuen's funeral arrangements. The 28-year-old died after his car crashed and caught fire.

While family and friends are mourning the loss of a loved one, her memory continues to live on.

More than 100 people gathered for a benefit in honor of Katie Riser outside of the Olde Falls Inn in Zanesville. Riser passed away from Pancreatic cancer on September 1st after being diagnosed in July. All of the proceeds collected were given to the Riser family to assist with medical bills.
