Local kids are encouraged to dive into reading this summer.

Muskingum County Libraries are preparing for their summer reading program for 2013. The 6 week event is called "Dig into Reading". A recent national study from the State Library reported Wednesday that parents who were surveyed still find value in their public libraries.

The 100 year anniversary of the Great Flood of 1913 is being observed in many ways in the next two months.

The 100th anniversary of the great flood of 1913 will fall this coming March and local organizations are preparing to commemorate the deadly weather disaster.

The Muskingum County Library System has just received its final statistics for the usage of library resources in 2012.
