Four area churches came together Saturday afternoon to share in fun and fellowship as a Christian community.

The Block Party was free of charge and was open to the public. Cornhole, door prizes, games, the Zanesville Fire Department, food and live music were all available to enjoy. The Salvation Army in Zanesville kicked off their second annual Block Party Thursday afternoon.

Despite scattered rain showers throughout the day, the even still saw over five hundred people by 3 p.m.. Volunteer Coordinator, Joyce Krouskoupf says the puddles didn't seem to scare people away.

A Duncan Falls Youth Group would like to invite you to a block party, dedicated to spreading the word of God.

Last year the United Methodist Church Youth Group decided they wanted to make a difference, and for the first time sponsored a block party here in Zanesville. Youth Group Member, Katie Bollinger, said, she feels a love from God and just wants to share it.

One local youth group is branching out from its ministry in Duncan Falls.

A youth group has teamed up with The Salvation Army to provide fun in the form of a block party.


Members of the Eternity Youth Group of Duncan Falls United Methodist Church have organized the event to bring together the community.
