Two schools in Guernsey County had a scare Thursday morning.

According to Lieutenant Dale Lyons of the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office, bomb threats were reported in the Rolling Hills Local School District at both Meadowbrook High and Middle Schools. 

Lyons said that no injuries were reported, but the schools were evacuated as deputies investigated.  He said the threats were in the form of graffiti scribbled on the walls inside both schools.

The New Concord Police Department is investigating a bomb threat at John Glenn High School . New Concord Police officer Trevor Hayes says a note was found around 2 p.m. and the school was evacauted.  Officer Hayes says he will not reveal where the note was found and what was written on it.  Hayes says a bomb sniffing dog from the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office was brought to the high school and did a sweep and nothing was found.  Now Hayes says he will continue to...

A bomb threat shuts down a South Zanesville store for several hours.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said the South Zanesville Wal-Mart received a phone call claiming a bomb was in the store. The call came in just before 2am on Saturday morning.

 A bomb threat shuts down the South Zanesville Walmart for several hours.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Luts says the call came in around 2 am Saturday morning.

Authorities brought in K9 units and searched the building but found no evidence of a bomb.

Lutz says a 48-year-old male has been taken in for questioning and could face felony charges.

The store re-opened around 5 am.

Another bomb threat in Zanesville interrupts a vocational school's daily routine and forces students outside for an hour.

It's the second bomb threat Mideast Career and Technology Center has seen in a week. The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office and emergency crews were notified of the incident around 10:45 Tuesday morning.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says he is investigating another bomb threat at the Mid-East Career and Technology Center on Richards Road.

Sheriff Lutz says it is a similar incident to last week’s bomb threat that turned out to be a fake.

Last time a bomb threat occured the school was evacuated and searched and nothing was found. 

At around 11:10 a.m Tuesday authorities did a sweep of the building with K-9 Drako and nothing was found.

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office is continuing an investigation surrounding a bomb threat at the Community Bank.

It's located off the Maysville Pike in South Zanesville.

Detective Mike Lecocq says the call came in just before 1 p.m.

"The Community Bank did receive a call from a male. The call contained a threat to the bank, " says Lecocq.

The Community Bank enacted its safety procedures and everyone was evacuated from the building.

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office was called to the Community Bank in South Zanesville this afternoon to investigate a bomb threat. Deputies say it happened just before 1:00 pm after a male called in the threat. Authorities evacuated the bank and a bomb sniffing dog was brought in to help investigate. Deputies say no bomb was found inside or outside of the bank and everything was determined to be clear. The incident remains under investigation.
