Traffic was temporarily slowed at the intersection of Brandywine Boulevard and Northpointe Drive on Saturday due to a two vehicle car crash.

As a reminder to motorists, Brandywine Boulevard will close Tuesday between Fairway Lane and Northpointe Drive as repairs begin on an over 100ft section of pipe under the roadway.

Motorists will still be able to access local businesses on Brandywine, but thru traffic will be blocked at the culvert location.

Those needing access to Buffalo Wild Wings, The Brandywine Hospital for Pets and Wells Fargo can still take Maple Avenue.

Starting next week, Brandywine Boulevard in Zanesville will be closed as crews fix a culvert that collapsed over a year ago.

Brandywine Boulevard will be closed starting Tuesday, May 29th, between Fairway Lane and Northpointe Drive.

Zanesville Public Service Director Mike Sims said the closure is necessary in order to replace the section of collapsed pipe underneath of the roadway.

The city of Zanesville is waiting to receive approval for $500,000 of emergency state funding to fix a culvert off of Brandywine Boulevard.

A request has been sent to the Ohio Public Works commission to fix the culvert after it collapsed in the spring of 2011.
Public Service Director, Mike Sims said that he has been waiting for a response from the Ohio Public Works Commission for over a month, and that once the emergency funds are approved, it's a pretty fast process.

A pipe collapse in Zanesville is leaving the city water department to find funds to repair the damage.

Public Service Director Mike Sims said they discovered the large depression that is about 50 feet off the north end of the pavement on Brandywine Boulevard after the ground thawed and the snow melted. The 30-year-old pipe runs along, behind, and under the Colony Square Mall's property.

The City of Zanesville will have Brandywine Boulevard restricted to 2 lanes and the rear entrance to Colony Square Mall closed for the next 30 days for culvert repairs. Please use the alternate access points to the mall.
