One local festival is flourishing despite the economic hardships.
The 42nd annual Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival had more than one hundred artists from various states come in for the weekend long event.
"They enjoying coming to the Cambridge city park, we have had many artists here with us, one as long as 41 out of 42 years and most of our artists average 12 to 28 years with us," said Festival Director, Lana Watkins.

Runners and bycyclists gathered for the 11th Annual Cambridge Run and Countryride Ride on Main Street.
"It was put together in 2000 as just a 5 and 10 k run by some friends and i, and then in 2004 we gave it to main street cause they have a lot of promotional events to bring people to downtown cambridge, and then in 2006 we added a bike tour to it," said Co-chairman, Tom Davey.

Tucked away in Cambridge is a glass museum celebrating its 30th birthday.

Aside from great food, music, and a live auction, some special bikes were in attendance at the Bike Show and Ribfest in downtown Cambridge.
The seventh annual event featured activities throughout the day including a tattoo contest and a live auction, however the main attraction was the bikes.

The governor was in Cambridge today at the Zane State Willet Pratt Training Center to speak about how the college and the Appalachian Regional Commission are working to improve and invest in the people of Appalachia.
