A Cambridge man pled no contest to his fifth OVI offense in Cambridge Municipal Court.
In a press release the Ohio State Highway Patrol said that Judge John Nicholson sentenced 41-year-old Darryl Carpenter to nine months in jail and a $1,000 fine, three years probation and a five year license suspension.
While in court Carpenter apologized to the family he almost hit head-on while driving impaired with a blood alcohol level of three times the legal limit.
