Authorities believe alcohol may have caused a crash that sends one to the hospital.
The Cambridge Police Department said the crash took place just before 5 a.m. Sunday. According to the police report Shannon Dubois was driving his vehicle when he failed to slow for the turn on South 9th Street and Carlisle Avenue.
His vehicle traveled over an embankment and over the side of the hill, falling around 150 feet down. He was able to climb out of the car.
According to the Cambridge Police Department at around noon on Friday, February 7th, employees of the Deer Creek Motel reported the discovery of a dead motel guest.
Officers arrived and found a 44-year-old male dead on the floor of the motel room. The identity of the victim is not being released until relatives have been notified. He is believed to be a recent Cambridge resident, having moved here from North Carolina and had been staying at the motel since February 1st.
