Cambridge Police arrest a female who reportedly robbed the CVS Pharmacy at gunpoint.

Officers report that at 9:53 p.m. Tuesday night, just before store closing, a female wearing a black coat, a surgical mask and armed with a handgun, entered the store and pushed a handgun against an employees side and demanded money from the safe.

She fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A retired Dayton police officer faces aggravated robbery  charges in a Cambridge bank robbery and bomb threat incident.

Guernsey County Prosecutor Dan Padden says 48-year-old David Hirst of Dayton entered the US Bank on Wheeling Avenue, Thursday afternoon, handed the clerk a note demanding money and then fled with an undisclosed amount. He was confronted by Officer Dan Milburn who was located at the back door of the bank.

Cambridge Police spend the morning in a stand-off situation.

Cambridge Police said around 1:30 Tuesday morning they got a call of an armed robbery of a male and female in a car. The victims identified the two suspects and told police they could be found at 529 Garfield Avenue.

The Cambridge Police Department is investigating a homicide.

On Friday officers were called to check on 47-year-old Robert Caples at a Beatty Avenue residence.  Upon arrival police found the man dead of an apparent homicide.  Caples was the Director of the Thompkin's Center Juvenile Residential Facility located on North 18th Street in Cambridge.

Both the victim and the suspect of a stabbing incident fled the scene early Sunday morning.

According to the Cambridge Police Department shortly before 2 a.m. crews responded to a 911 call at a South 8th Street residence.

Upon arrival those involved fled. Officers searched the area until they received a call from the South Eastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, saying a stabbing victim was just dropped off at their Emergency Room.

Cambridge Police investigate an early Wednesday morning shooting.

Officers responding to a 911 call of gunfire in the 400 block of N. Fifth Street found a man on the porch of the home with a gunshot wound.

While he was being attended to another man walked out of his home two houses north of the injured subject and told authorities he  had shot the man because he was attempting to enter his residence.

The Cambridge Police Department mourns the loss of one of their fellow officers after a brief and sudden illness.
