The United Way campaign is well underway.

The United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan counties need your help in reaching its final goal this year.  People can invest through their own employee campaigns or as individuals.  Executive Director Meg Deedrick says people can contribute as little as ten dollars to the campaign and can still make a huge impact.

$5 million may seem like a huge chunk of change, but thanks to several gifts including a one million dollar anonymous donation and pledges thus far, the Muskingum Recreation Center is halfway to its goal of 10 million dollars.

Last January, four local organizations formed a partnership and put the plans in place to bring the new 75,000 square foot facility to light, which would provide wellness amenities the community needs.

An 18th District Congressional candidate is trying to bring some financial concerns about his campaign to rest.

Bob Gibbs filed an amended campaign finance report Monday morning. The numbers are in and it looks good for the United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties.

At the annual Live United Annual Celebration held tonight, the numbers were released for the United Way's campaign and they fell just slightly sort of their $950,000 goal.

The United Way might be only half-way through their campaign season, but the early numbers look good.

Meg Deedrick of the United Way of Muskingum, Morgan, and Perry counties says the campaign won't wrap up until the end of winter, but they are pleased with the results so far.
