WHIZ-TV hosted another forum Wednesday featuring the two candidates running for the other available Muskingum County Commissioner seat.

Incumbent Jerry Lavy and challenger Eddie Brock participated in the forum. With all the hype surrounding shale development, the oil and gas industry was a hot topic. Lavy says it could be another year and a half before we see the boom in our area.

Tuesday night WHIZ-TV presented a forum featuring candidates running for Muskingum County Commissioner.

Former Commissioner John Bates, Commissioner Steve Strauss and challenger Todd Sands participated in the forum.  All three candidates answered questions relating to the closing of the Muskingum County Home, the sheriff's response to the animal release and the effort to reduce crime in our area.  Another hot topic was the idea to combine resources between Muskingum County...

The November General Election is right around the corner. On Sunday a candidates forum was held at the John McIntire library in Zanesville.

One of the races Muskingum county residents can expect to see on the ballot is the County Commissioner race. Republican Todd Sands, former Commissioner John Bates, a democrat, and current appointed commissioner, independent Steve Strauss are vying for the four year term commencing January 2nd, 2013.

A public forum was held at the John McIntire Library in downtown over the weekend. All 14 candidates running for both Mayor and City Council seats were present to answer the public's questions and to hear their concerns.
