Zanesville Police have made an arrest in Monday night's Maysville school bus shooting incident.

Captain Tony Coury says some key information developed from 25 year veteran officer Russ Scott led police to 1305 Ridge Avenue. Officers say they were able to gather evidence linking 24 year old Robert Goodin of Zanesville to the b-b gun shooting incident.

 The Zanesville Police make an arrest in a purse snatching that took place at the Wal-mart on Maple Avenue. 

Captain Tony Coury said 22-year-old Rachel Penrod of Roseville turned herself into authorities. She was interviewed and placed in the city jail. She faces charges of robbery and three counts of theft. Her bond has been set for $60,000 cash. A court date will be set at a later time.

Zanesville Police nab their suspect in a string of robberies.

Captain Tony Coury said following Wednesday's robbery of Shrivers Pharmacy on Brighton Boulevard, they were able to locate their suspect at 1226 1/2 Ridge Avenue.

The man is also suspected of six other robberies that took place within the last 14 days.

The Ohio Department of Transportation today released preliminary results from a safety study about Maple Avenue in Zanesville.

O-DOT says the three year study shows that the concrete medians installed in 2009 between Military Road and Country Club Drive have lead to a 47% decrease in crashes.

A body found partially submerged in the 6th Street Canal has been identified.

Zanesville Police Captain Tony Coury said that the body is that of 61-year-old Edward Swick of Zanesville.

"Ed was not homeless. He did live on 6th Street only a couple of blocks from where he was found," said Captain Coury. "He has a limited number of family members. We have made contact with a relative and informed him of his death."

The Zanesvile Police Department is advancing it's training through high-tech simulation scenarios.

The Zanesville Police Department has more details in reference to a weekend shooting.

Local law enforcement work to tie a robbery suspect to other open cases within the county.

With assistance from the Muskingum County Sheriff's the Zanesville Police have arrested 37-year-old Teddie Hunter. Zanesville Police said an incident on Larzelere Avenue is under investigation.
