A 13th victim of the Fort Hood mass shooting died today and 28 are still in the hospital.

Zanesville's Cathy Colen, a medic in the Army, was one floor above where the shooting took place and immediately tended to the wounded.

"My sister has always been a hero, she has always been my hero. She has done everything right so far," tells Private Robert Tompkins, Cathy's brother.

This Fort Hood tradegy has a close connection to our area, 26-year-old Army Specialist Cathy Colen, a Zanesville High School graduate, was in the building at the time of the shooting.

Colen was a floor-up from where the shooting took place and texted her mother today to let her know she was safe. Her family says the trained field medic used her skills to save lives.
