A methamphetamine lab was seized from a Somerset home where a 10-month-old child was living.

A meth lab has been seized from a Thornville home.

After receiving information that methamphetamine was being produced at 14876 Empire Road, detectives from the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force and deputies from the Perry County Sheriff's Office seized the meth lab from the residence on Saturday. Authorities in Perry County are seeing positive results since joining a multi-agency drug task force.
 

In November of 2009, the Perry County Sheriff's Office joined forces with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force.

The Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force conducted a drug raid at a home in New Lexington Thursday.

According to a news release, detectives raided the home at 414 1/2 Fowlers Lane after receiving complaints about drug activity.

Authorities say two people were arrested and illegal drugs were seized. The names of the suspects will not be released until formal charges are filed.

A Roseville man charged with 13 felony counts of trafficking and possession of prescription drugs was arraigned in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Wednesday.

43-year-old Larry Bennett plead not guilty to the charges which also carry a school specification.

More than 600 marijuana plants were discovered at a home in Thornville Thursday.

Detectives with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force conducted a search at 12162 State Route 188 after receiving a tip that marijuana was being grown.

Authorities found 611 marijuana plants and hydroponic growing equipment. It's estimated as having a street value of more than $500,000.

Authorities in Perry County execute search warrants at two homes in New Lexington in an investigation into the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
 

Sgt. Kevin Starrett says Monday night detectives seized chemicals related to manufacturing of meth along with lab supplies at a home on East Water Street and East Union Street.

Two people were arrested in Perry County Friday with chemicals to manufacture methamphetamine.

According to Sgt. Kevin Starrett with the Perry County Sheriff's Office, the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force and the New Lexington Police Department found the items after a search of 1-21 Porcelin Street Apartment B in New Lexington.

Authorities say they have arrested three Newark men in connection with purchasing a product that is a key ingredient used in the illegal manufacture of methamphetamine.

The Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force says 44-year-old Michael Holmes, 27-year-old Stephen Priest and 41-year-old Theodore Cost III have all been charged with the unlawful purchase of pseudoephedrine,a  first degree misdemeanor.
