Coconis Furniture held their annual Tee It Up Fore Autism Golf Tournament at the Zanesville Country Club on Monday. The Coconis family started the tournament four years ago as a way to give back to local families.

A Zanesville business is celebrating its grand re-opening - and the name on the signs is a familiar one.

A donation from an area business is helping kids get ready for school.

Coconis Furniture is donating 67 pairs of shoes and $100 to the Wendy's/WHIZ's Lace Up For Kids campaign.  For 23 years, the program has helped to collect new shoes for needy children.

"There's 150 kids still in need, so we're doing our part to help out the community and try to get shoes on kids' feet for the first day of school," said Bo Coconis.

A new store is bringing business and jobs to our area.

The economy is starting to look up at least for one local business owner. You might have noticed the new Coconis Furniture store pop up on Maple Ave. Today President Randy Coconis held a ribbon cutting ceremony. He said it's a new concept furniture store.

"It's kinda an all one price store every sofa in the store is $399.00 or less. Pretty much all the recliners are one or two prices instead of a traditional furniture...

The north end of Zanesville is welcoming a new business to the old Lazyboy Furniture Store.

You have probably seen signs going up outside the facility at the intersection of Adair and Maple Avenues. Coconis Furniture is opening up a second store and moving in.

Owner Randy Coconis says this store will be different though, using a new concept that is sweeping the nation.

"It's basically kind of like the build-a-bear thing. It's buying furniture that's as easy as 1, 2, 3...
