It's been over a decade since the Muskingum University football team recorded a winning season, but that doesn't mean the Muskies aren't optimistic for the season ahead. Head coach Al Logan returns depth on both sides of the ball that makes him confident this team can break through.

The Muskies were hard at work this week for their season opener this Saturday on the road at Waynesburg University. The game is set for a 2 p.m. kickoff. Last season, Muskingum jumped all over the Yellow...

The college football season has officially started and some local Buckeye fans gathered at The Barn on Saturday to celebrate.

One local fan dedicated the opening of the season to her husband who recently has passed away due to illness.

"My husband loved the buckeyes. He passed away in May to brain cancer and we want an undefeated season for him, " said Vicki Williams.

Another die hard fan says that coming to The Barn to watch OSU play is a tradition he started a...

For a program without a winning record since the late 90's, the Muskingum University football team is a pretty confident bunch. Tuesday at the annual OAC Media Days in Canton, the Muskies were picked to finish seventh in the conference, the exact spot they finished a year ago. But head coach Al Logan and returning players believe that this could be a breakthrough season.

"I think we're real close to being one of the better teams in this conference, I really do," said Logan...

Michigan State 10 - Ohio State 7

Zanesville native and Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio can finally say he's beaten Ohio State.  In four previous attempts, the former Buckeye defensive coordinator was unable to pick up a victory.

Saturday, in the Horseshoe, his Spartans were the better team.  Michigan State recorded 9 sacks, completely shutting down Ohio State's offense on the way to a 10-7 win in each team's Big Ten opener.

It's Michigan...

Akron 0 - #18 Ohio State 42

It was also the first start for quarterback Joe Bauserman since his senior year of high school...eight years ago. The 26-year-old didn't fold under the pressure, totaling four touchdowns,...
