Ed Allender loves music so much that he decided to open his Zanesville home up for a concert and jam session Sunday afternoon.

The music started around 1:00 p.m. at Allender's property off of Licking Road. Area bands provided free entertainment to anyone who wanted to come out.

The Y-City Barbershop Chorus is having their Celebrate Harmony Concert at Secrest Auditorium this Sunday at 3 p.m.

The sold out show takes months to plan and the Secretary of the Muskingum County Fair Doug Guinsler, says booking a big act is a long process.

"We start late October, early November. We meet with, we're very fortunate in this city to have a guy named George and Variety Attractions. The C.A.A.S. Camp is inviting the public to attend a concert Friday night at 7 p.m. at the Grace Methodist Church in Zanesville.

In coordination with the city's celebration, the Zanesville Memorial Concert Band entertained community members with music to go along with the holiday.
