A young boy was transported by medflight to a hospital in Columbus following an ATV crash on Friday night.

The Perry County Sheriff's Office says it happened around 6:30 p.m. on Buckeye Valley Road just north of S.R. 669 in Somerset. It was confirmed by the Somerset Fire Department that the child was wearing a helmet.

The Sheriff's Office declined to release any more details.

State Route 13 between Interstate 70 and Thornville was shutdown for more than an hour after an early morning accident Thursday.

Trooper Robert Franks with the Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol says it happened around 8:45 on S.R. 13 at Maple Street just south of Edgewater.

He says Nathan Garvin of New Lexington was traveling northbound in a Buick SUV when he went left of center and struck Brent Schneider of Zanesville driving a Chevy pick-up truck head on.

The snowy weather has brought on a rash of accidents in the area Monday night.

The State Highway Patrol responded to a one-vehicle roll-over crash on S.R. 40 near Ridge Road in Hopewell around 7:30 p.m.

"The vehicle was eastbound on US 40 in the left lane, the vehicle lost control, stated she was driving 55 miles hour. She went off the road and struck the embankment and overturned," said Trooper Todd Henry.

Troopers from the Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal crash in Licking County.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday on Blue Jay Road east of Tavener Road in Franklin Township.

A man is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Coshocton County.

According to the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office, around 3 p.m. 54-year-old Steven Adams of Coshocton was turning onto U.S. 36 from Township Road 104, when he failed to yield causing 73-year-old Robert Sherry Sr. of Columbus to strike him.

The Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving three vehicles.

The crash occurred on State Route 13 at Stone Quarry Road in Perry County at 8:25 a.m. on Tuesday.

A 31-year-old Conesville woman is treated and released after she crashed into a deer that went through her windshield.

The call came in around 6:30 p.m.

A man is dead following an evening accident in Newark.

It happened at the Church Street exit, just off Ohio 16.

Sergeant Brian Webster says 23-year-old Aaron Hartsock was riding a motorcycle and was attempting to make a turn, lost control, and skidded off the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Webster says speed was a factor in the crash.

A man is taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries, following an accident in Zanesville.

It happened around 4:30 p.m.

The Police Department says the man was attempting to back out of the driveway at 630 Shaum Avenue, when he struck a red vehicle that was parked along the road. A Maryland woman involved in a deadly accident on Interstate 70 Wednesday is released from the hospital.

A Grant Medical Center spokesperson says 39-year-old Anna Geist was discharged earlier in the day. She was initially taken to the hospital in serious condition after a car, driven by 23-year-old Tiffany Irwin of Zanesville, crossed the median and struck Geist's van head-on.

Her son-a passenger in the van-was uninjured in the crash but was taken to Nationwide Children's...
