The Crooksville Ceramics gave Maysville a scare Thursday night at the Maysville Athletic Complex, but the Panthers dominated the second half and coasted to a 49-15 victory.

Couger Clarke returned an interception 102 yards to paydirt with seven seconds remaining in the half to give the Panthers a seven-point lead after 24 minutes of play. Maysville then scored 27 unanswered points in the final two quarters.

For years, Crooksville football has prided itself with some of the best tradition in Perry County. But recently, the Ceramics haven't lived up to their winning ways of old. If Charles Dickens were still alive and writing, he would gain some inspiration for his next novel in Crooksville, "A Tale of Two Seasons." After starting off 4-0 in 2009, the Ceramics went 0-6 to end the season.
