A fire broke out early Thursday evening in Crooksville.

The Crooksville Fire Department was the first crew to respond to the blaze at 155 McKeever St. at around 7 p.m. According to Crooksville Fire Chief, Ralph Hill, upon arrival the rear room and a portion of the upstairs of the three apartment duplex was heavily engulfed in flames.

It is unknown how many occupants were in the complex at the time of the fire, but Hill says everyone made it out safely and there were no injuries...

A Perry County family is homeless today after an early morning fire.  It happened at 5 a.m. to the home of Robert Walker at 7294 State Route 345 just north of Crooksville.  Fire Fighters Dan Rodgers says when crews arrived on the scene the two story wooden frame home was fully involved in flames.  Rodgers says Walker, his wife and 5 children all escaped the burning home unharmed. A fire broke out Friday morning at 120 N. State Street in Crooksville.

911 dispatched The Crooksville Fire Department to the scene where they were able to put the flames out within fifteen minutes.

According to fire officials, the fire began around the stove and spread from the kitchen all the way up to the second floor.

Due to a shortage on water, additional crews were brought in for back up.
