H.S. Boys Basketball:

New Philadelphia 34 Zanesville 52

After the loss to Newark Sunday, coach Scott Aronhalt and his staff challenged his kids to re-commit themselves to the basketball program. Goals were defined again, and some measures were taken to ensure that the Blue Devils were focused on getting better as a team, rather than as individuals.

The New Philadelphia Quakers (3-2, 2-1) were, unfortunately, the first team to...

H.S. Girls Basketball:

Tri-Valley 45 Sheridan 38

In the featured game of the night,  Tri-Valley got off to a slow start, but used a 20-7 second quarter edge to knock off Sheridan 45-38.  The Generals started the game up 12-0, but the Scotties used that big second quarter to take a 23-19 halftime lead.  The Generals jumped out 7-0 in the third quarter to take a three point lead, but the two teams were deadlocked at 28 heading...

Boys Basketball

Rosecrans 75 Maysville 54

A game that was so close a year ago was anything but this season as Rosecrans cruised to a 21 point win. The Bishops were lead in scoring by senior Aaron Parry who had 24 points but it was senior Ian Durrant who made the biggest splash notching 16 points in his first ever start. The Panthers did a good job in shutting down the reinning Division IV player of the year Zak Kirkbride who scored just...

H.S. Volleyball:

Crooksville 25, 9, 13, 13 Maysville: 23, 25, 25, 25

It wasn't the prettiest of starts for Maysville on their home floor, but they shook off the slow start and were able to dominate three straight games to pick up their 11th victory of the year. Crooksville stunned the Panthers quickly in game one before being over powered in the next three games. Maysville was lead by Taylor Tatman who had 15 kills on the night while...

H.S. Volleyball:

John Glenn: 25, 18, 19, 16 Tri-Valley: 17, 25, 25, 25

It wasn't the ideal start for the Lady Dawgs on their home court but some how they over came that and picked up their seventh victory of the season over a tough John Glenn squad. The Muskies played well in game one and Erin Shade did a good job to lead a John Glenn team that has lost one of its leaders to an injury. The Lady Dawgs were lead by Payton Miller's all around...
