Authorities say hypothermia is believed to be the cause of death of a man whose body was found on frozen Seneca Lake.

The owners of Hillis Funeral Home, located on Forest Ave. in Zanesville, have retired and sold the company. Business partners and new owners of the funeral home, Tim Combs and Paul Nestor have petitioned The State Board of The Ohio Funeral Directors and Embalmers to change the name of the funeral home to Hillis,Combs and Nestor.

The Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a man found dead Tuesday afternoon, hanging from a highway in Guernsey County.

According to the Patrol, troopers received a call shortly after 1:30 p.m. that the body of a young man was hanging from the overpass at mile post 52 on Interstate 77. The structure is over the Salt Fort Lake spillway.

The man has not yet been identified. The coroner and other investigators responded to the scene....

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office is calling the death of a missing Zanesville man suspicious.

Sheriff Matt Lutz says his office discovered the body of 19-year-old Tyler Hardin in a wooded area Sunday afternoon. Lutz would not comment on the exact location where the body was found.

Hardin's family last saw him on July 10th and filed a missing person's report with the Zanesville Police Department three days later.

An autopsy will be conducted within the next few days....

The Licking County Coroner's Office says a woman who was found dead in a motel Friday afternoon died of a gun shot wound.

The Heath Police Department responded to the incident at the Super 8 Motel on Hebron Road around 12:30 p.m.

Officers say they found a woman inside one of the rooms, who was later identified as 28-year-old Jacqueline Coleman.

Three people are dead after a fire in New Lexington around two a.m. Sunday morning.

Beth Saffell woke up to her dog barking and a lot of commotion.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is reporting the death of one of it's own workers.

Shawn Blubaugh was killed Thursday while working on Route 36 in Knox County. He and his teammates were doing routine tree and shrubbery work.

ODOT safety experts are working with the state patrol to determine what happened.

Blubaugh had been a highway technician with ODOT since 2002.

Authorities are calling a house fire that killed a man late Thursday night suspicious, and the Knox County Sheriff's Office, the County Coroner, and the State Fire Marshal's Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
