November is national diabetes month, and the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department wants to make sure you know the dangers of diabetes and who is at risk.

A “Walk To Cure Diabetes” will take place this Sunday in Columbus. The event will be held at the Ohio State University in the south stands. Area residents will have the chance to lace up their tennis shoes and walk for a good cause.
Foxfire High School is sponsoring the third annual Walk for Diabetes.
"Foxfire is challenging other schools, but individuals can walk in this event themselves," said Dr. Charles Cerney, Vice President of the Muskingum Chapter of the Diabetes Initiative. "There's a $5 contribution to walk or walkers can have sponsors."
