Timber sales at Blue Rock State Forest net over $42,000 in profit for Muskingum County.
The money will be split between the county, Blue Rock and Salt Creek Townships as well as Franklin Local School District. The Timber sales occurred between July of 2011 and June of 2012. The money comes from the Division of Forestry "Trees to Textbooks" program.

Forest Manager David Glass says the Ohio revised code allows us to return revenues back to the local governments from the state timber sales.
