It happened around 1:00 p.m. at 5th and Main Streets. The Zanesville Police Department says a white Impala was traveling on Main Street when it ran a red light and hit the white Chevy Blazer. A semi truck is causing some headaches in downtown Zanesville.
A portion of Main Street, between 6th and 7th Streets, had to be closed for several hours this afternoon because the semi truck went up on the curb and ran into a traffic light pole.
The city's maintenance department was forced to deconstruct and to take down the entire pole.
The Zanesville Police Department says the driver of the semi truck, Jeffrey Brady, was cited for the incident.
One woman is sent to the hospital after an accident in downtown Zanesville.

Lieutenant Tony Courey says a woman was traveling northbound on 6th Street when she struck a parked car in the right lane.

Downtown Association Manager, Dana Matz, is asking downtown businesses to take part in a survey that hasn't been conducted in 10 years.
Matz says his office is working with Muskingum University students to pass out these simple one-page surverys.
"How many employees do you have? What's your male-female ratio? What are you hours of operation? What's your total payroll? " says Matz.
Matz says the surveys can be mailed back, faxed, or picked up by the students.
