Two men were arrested following a search of two homes in Perry County.

On Friday, detectives with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force and deputies from the Perry County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at 105 West Gay Street in Somerset.

Two Zanesville men charged in connection with a drug bust entered pleas in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Monday.
 

29-year-old Rodriquez Hampton pleaded guilty to one count of possession of cocaine with five specifications and one count of having a weapon while under disability. And 20-year-old Deondre Crosby pleaded guilty to a possession of cocaine charge along with two specifications.

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office and Somerset Police say they busted a meth lab. Sheriff William Barker says it happened Tuesday at 130 West Main Street in Somerset in an upstairs bedroom of the home. Three people were arrested and are facing charges relating to the manufacture of drugs. A Muskingum County  Grand Jury  on Wednesday indicted two Zanesville men arrested in a recent drug bust.
 

Assistant Prosecutor Ron Welch says 28-year-old Rodriquez Hampton has been charged with possession of cocaine with a gun specification and having a weapon while under disability.
 

Hampton is also facing aggravated burglary, kidnapping and domestic violence charges stemming from an alleged assault in March at a home on Homewood Avenue.

Authorities arrested a total of eight people at two drug busts in Zanesville.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. at 170 1/2 Brighton Boulevard and 335 Bailey Street.  Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said the city and county joint task force executed search warrants at both locations.  He said three males and one female were taken into custody at the bust on Brighton Boulevard.  Four males were arrested at the Bailey Street location.

One man was arrested following a drug bust Wednesday in downtown Zanesville.

It happened at 19 South 6th Street. Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said Justin Batross was taken into custody. Lutz said batross violated his probation and also had an arrest warrant in Columbus for a felony theft, as well as an outstanding warrant in Georgia.

The Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force conducted a drug raid at a home in New Lexington Thursday.

According to a news release, detectives raided the home at 414 1/2 Fowlers Lane after receiving complaints about drug activity.

Authorities say two people were arrested and illegal drugs were seized. The names of the suspects will not be released until formal charges are filed.

The Perry County Sheriff's Office is releasing the names of three people arrested following a drug bust on Tuesday.

Authorities say 26-year-old Dante Harris, 26-year-old Heather Gaskins and 27-year-old Sebastian Gaskins were in Perry County Court Thursday for a bond hearing.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said three area gas stations were raided Friday morning for selling bath salts.

This comes shortly after Governor John Kasich signed a bill making the possession and sale of the product illegal. Seven people are in custody Wednesday evening, after the Sheriff's Department conducted a search warrant and found crack cocaine.
