Three men appear in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court for charges surrounding a drug bust in South Zanesville earlier this month.

32-year-old Randall Crane pled not guilty to four drug-related counts. His bond was continued at $50,000. 40-year-old Ricky Scurlock Junior plead not guilty to two drug-related counts. His bond was continued at $100,000, and John Fleming pled not guilty to five drug-related counts. His bond was continued at $50,000.

The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol is releasing new details, involving an Interstate 70 crash that took the lives of 3 adults and 2 children back in June.

Post commander, Lieutenant Steven Rine says drugs may be a contributing factor.

An ongoing drug investigation led to the arrest of two people at 206 Mead Street this past Tuesday.

The Muskingum Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old James Allen Wade is charged with trafficking drugs. 26-year-old Darrin Michael Wade is also charged with trafficking drugs, with a juvenile specification and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. There was an additional arrest made at the residence as well.

A Fairfield County man is arrested on a felony charge of illegally manufacturing drugs.

Sheriff's Office Sergeant Rod Hamler says officers responded to 1280 Blacklick Road Friday and were looking for Kevin Nye, who allegedly was running a meth lab out of his home.

Nye will be arraigned tomorrow in court.

He is currently being held at the Fairfield County Jail on a 100 thousand dollar cash assurity bond and a 25 thousand dollar recognizance bond.

About 30 individuals have been taken into custody from Perry, Fairfield, and Hocking counties, during what the US Marshall's Service is calling "Operation Rolling Thunder," and they face an array of drug and burglary charges.

A 23-year-old Zanesville man will spend a year in prison for selling drugs.

Mason Somers received the sentence Monday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court from Judge Mark Fleegle. Somers had pled guilty to two-felony-counts of trafficking in marijuana, plus three-felony-counts of possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine and possession of mushrooms.

The Zanesville Police Department says two people were arrested after a drug raid. Sergeant Mark Lenhart says it happened Thursday at 1:45 at 1110 Woodlawn Avenue. Lenhart says investigators recovered crack cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Two residents of the home were arrested and taken to jail. A Crooksville man faces up to four years in prison after being found guilty of drug trafficking.

60-year-old John Wager was found guilty Wednesday in Perry County Common Pleas Court on four counts of trafficking in cocaine, all fifth-degree-felonies.

While the holiday season can be a joyful time for most, it can quite different for those suffering from substance abuse issues.

During the holidays Muskingum Behavioral Health sees a drop in numbers, but after the new year, the numbers shoot up.

A Denison University student is arrested for allegedly giving another student drugs.

The Granville Police Department says 21-year-old Jessica Kelton gave 18-year-old Mya Price a brownie that was laced with marijuana Saturday night.

Price was taken to the hospital and treated for effects from the marijuana.

Officers say Price has no idea the brownie was drugged when she consumed it.
