A home undergoing remodeling in Duncan Falls catches fire this afternoon.

It happened around 3 p.m. at the corner of Miller Lane and Wheeler Drive.

Duncan Falls-Wayne Township Assistant Fire Chief Steve Farus says a barrel full of burning trash outside the home caught the corner of the house on fire. He says since the home was being remodeled, there isn't very much damage.

Duncan Falls-Wayne Township and Harrison Township fire departments responded.

Community Ambulance today announced that it will open a new station in Duncan Falls. Community director of operations Phil Koster says multiple municipal leaders asked him to investigate options to provide faster, more reliable emergency medical service response for areas south of Zanesville.
