A local woman is being honored for her years of devoted service.

Ellen Vonada is the 2009 Muskingum County Caregiver Of  The Year. For more than 25 years she has cared for her husband, Chuck. Friends say she has become his eyes, ears and voice. A neighbor nominated Vonada and she says she is surprised and humbled by the award.
