The Zanesville Highway Patrol has released more details from a fatal accident that claimed the life of a 13-year-old girl near Frazeysburg. Troopers say the victim is now identified as Alison Clark of Dresden. She was a passenger in a car driven by 37-year-old Amy Caplinger, also of Dresden. It was a deadly start to the day in Perry County Thursday morning.

The Lancaster Post of the Highway Patrol says two people were killed in a head-on collision on State Route 13 just north of Somerset at 8:15 am.  Troopers identify the fatally injured victims as 24-year-old Franklin Merckle and 25-year-old Jeremy Penrod, both of New Lexington.

Freezing rain is responsible for an early morning death.

It happed around 9 AM Saturday morning in Goshen Township. Bradley and Shawna Carlson of Dover were traveling east on US 250 near milepost 13 when their Honda Civic struck a Lincoln Continental that was stopped in the roadway from a previous crash. Two families are mourning the deaths of their teenage sons after a head on collision.

The crash happened shortly before 3:30 Tuesday afternoon on Dietz Lane.

One man is dead after an early morning crash on State Route 188 near High Point Road.

The Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says Robert Banfill of Thurston drove off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail and overturned. Troopers say Banfill was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers are still investigating the cause of the accident.

Thorn Township EMS and the Perry County Coroner both responded to the scene.

The Granville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an early morning crash that killed one person. It happened at mile marker 130 on I-70 East. A semi tractor trailer was sitting along I-70 East when a Chevy Lumina, driven by 39-year-old David Valentine of Columbus, struck the rear of the trailer. The Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that took place just before midnight Thursday.

Troopers say that 34-year-old Jodi Holland of Lancaster was traveling west onto County Road 33 A near Horns Mill Road in Berne Township, when she struck a guardrail and was ejected from her vehicle.

Troopers say Holland wasn't wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, which is still under investigation.

The State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident in Licking county that involved three vehicles..
 

It happened just after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday on State Route 37 in Granville Township.
 

Authorties say 50-year-old Scott Engel of Newark was headed West on 37 between State Route 16 and Raccoon Valley Road when he went left of center.
