The Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle fatal crash that occurred on State Route 188 near High Point Road, south of Thornville in Perry County.

One child is dead and another taken to the hospital by helicopter following a head-on crash in Licking County.

According to the Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Andrew Gayheart of Utica was traveling southbound on State Route 13 near Ginger Hill Road when he lost control of his vehicle and went left-of-center just before 2 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Gayheart's car hit a northbound van driven by 52-year-old Brenda Hoadley of Newark.

A Newark woman was killed Friday when she was ejected from a vehicle and pinned.

According to the Newark Police Department, around noon a van driven by Margaret Hannigan of Newark was northbound on North 21st Street when she attempted to turn onto Moull Street. Hannigan's van was struck by another van driven by Linda Lees of Newark. A passenger in Hannigan's van, 89-year-old Dorthy Strait, was ejected and pinned under one of the vehicles. The Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian.

82-year-old Velmar Andrews from Canton was struck and killed by a vehicle on Saturday around 6:30 PM.  According to the highway patrol, Andrews was walking in the southbound lanes of Interstate 77 near milepost 52 in Guernsey County.  The crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol.

One person is dead after a crash closed the westbound lanes of State Route 16.

The accident happened on Thursday around 8:30 PM, just west of State Route 146 in Hanover Township.  The State Highway Patrol, Hanover Township EMS and the Licking County Sheriff's Office responded to the call.

A fatal crash has closed the westbound lanes of State Route 16,  just west of State Route 146 in Hanover Township.

The crash occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m.

All traffic was diverted off the highway. According to the State Highway Patrol, the driver of a three-wheeled-motorcycle was traveling westbound when he struck the back of a Dodge Durango.

The impact sent the Durango down an embankment, where it turned onto its side.

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash.

It happened around 11 a.m. on Sunday on S.R. 37 north of U.S. 40 in Licking County.

Authorities report that 79-year-old Phyllis Phillips of Millersport was traveling southbound in a 2001 Olds Mobile Alero on S.R. 37 when she lost control on the snow covered roadway going left of center striking 40-year-old David McBride of Hebron, who was traveling northbound in a 2010 Ford Escape....

Family and friends are saying their final goodbyes to 18-year-old Beau Greiner.

He was laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park this afternoon.

Greiner's friends say they wanted to do something special in his memory, so they brought out their ATV's and dirt bikes, saying it's what Greiner would have wanted.

"We used to hang out everyday after school and stuff, riding bikes. He taught us how to live and have fun every day, " Greiner's friend Rick Chambers.

One person is dead after an overnight accident on US 62 in Knox County.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. near Danville.

The State Highway Patrol reports that at least two people have died after a Wednesday afternoon crash in Muskingum County. It happened on State Route 16 near the town of Adams Mills. It appears that one vehicle carrying two people was submerged in water. At this time, WHIZ-TV has a crew on the scene, we'll bring you more information as it becomes available.
