Two people are dead after an evening accident on State Route 16, and it had the eastbound lane closed for a few hours.
It happened just before 5pm.

The State Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle accident that claimed the life of a Fairfield County man.
It happened around 1:30 Monday afternoon at the intersection of County Road 33-A and Claypool Road.
According to the Lancaster Post, 94-year-old George Bell of Bremen was attempting to turn onto CR 33-A from Claypool Road when he was struck by a truck going west bound on CR 33-A.
