A home in Roseville is destroyed after a fire ripped through the structure and damaged other nearby homes.

Crews responded to the fire on the 200 block of Washington Street just before 11 a.m. Thursday. Below freezing temperatures created problems for the nearly seven fire departments on the scene. Roseville Fire Chief Ed Guy said the structure took about two hours to extinguish.

A local hero was laid to rest on Thursday.

Firefighters say safety is their number one priority.

While this may look like an emergency, it's actually a live fire scenario that is supervised by the Muskingum County Fire School. 11 fire departments traveled in for the weekend-long event to practice their skills.

A second fire in Cambridge injures four area firefighters, two from the Cambridge department and two from the Cassell Station volunteer department.

It happened around 4 a.m. in the 400 block of Steubenville Avenue. Cambridge Fire Captain Tim Milner says the two-story structure was fully engulfed upon arrival.
