The month of March begins this week, so it's time for the First Friday Art Walk.

Schimmel Fitness is the featured business to host the event this month. It is currently housing the art work of Rick Crooks, a metal sculptor from Crooksville. Owner Bill Schimmel said he's amazed by Crooks' art, his creativity, and vision.

The First Friday Art Walk in Downtown Zanesville will expanded their focus to recognize the art of dance.

Movement on Main Center for Dance will be January's Featured Artist of the Month. Founder and Director Whitney Joseph studied ballet in Zanesville for nearly 10 years before continuing her studies at Ohio University. Today her focus is to encourage her students.

The monthly First Friday Art Walk in downtown Zanesville is this Friday.

The Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project- Z.A.A.P- will feature Abstract Artist Marie Lakorenos. Lakorenos said her interest in art began in 5th grade, but it wasn't until her own children later grew up that she was able to fulfill her passion.

They say art comes from the heart, and that's certainly the case for Mary Wade, who is being recognized as December's Artist of the Month.

Wade is a member of the Heart of Art Studio, which is an art program for people who attend Muskingum Starlight Industries, a sheltered workshop for adults with developmental disabilities. Artist Diana Geidenberger said it's a place where both the art process and the art product are valued.

The Z.A.A.P Art Gallery in Downtown Zanesville will feature two local artists at this First Friday's Art Walk.

The First Friday Art Walk is this Friday in Zanesville, and the Artist Colony of Zanesville is featuring 22 artists.

Gallery G at the Masonic Temple on 4th Street is the Artist of the Month.  Owner Bob Grayson said many of the artists are couples.

The monthly First Friday Art Walk is this Friday night in Zanesville. ZAAP Art Gallery in the downtown will feature paintings from artist Hong Yin.

The Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project- more commonly known as Z.A.A.P will feature Zanesville Artist and Native Rebecca Terrible.

September is nearly here....this First Friday Art Walk will feature Tower Studios and Gallery.

The gallery is home to six artists. Each specializes in a different kind of work. Visual artist Linda Regula has been teaching art for 31 years and knows the company of others will feed creativity.
