Around three hundred flu shots await those seeking vaccination for the virus.

Now that kids are back to school, attention refocuses on the spreading of germs, especially with flu season only weeks away.

In an effort to help cut down on the spread of the flu virus, Rambo Memorial Health is offering discount flu shots.

Rambo has shots available for in-county residents for five dollars. Fifteen for out-of-county. The clinic has been offering their flu shots since August but with the recent spike in flu cases, they have seen an increase in those coming in to get their shot.

It's already time to start thinking about flu season.

Once again the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department is teaming up with Rambo Memorial Health Center.  Health Commissioner Corey Hamilton said a flu shot clinic will be held on October 11th.

Rambo Memorial Health Center in downtown Zanesville said they've gone through half their supply of flu shots.

Every day over one hundred people come to the health center in hopes of getting the shot to prevent the flu. Though many are taking advantage of the program officials said not to worry about running out of the vaccine.

An opportunity for you to get your flu-shot will serve as a test-run for the Local Emergency Management Agency.

The days of the free flu vaccine in Muskingum County are over. Tuesday the Rambo Memorial Health Center announced it will be charging five-dollars for the flu shot starting in September.
