Today the Zanesville Patriots held a free public showing of the documentary, "Fracknation" at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Welcome Center in hopes to clear the negative air about fracking. There will be a free showing of the independent documentary, "Fracknation" at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Welcome Center this weekend. The event is sponsored by the Zanesville Tea Party Patriots who have worked with 60 other groups around Ohio to provide the opportunity for people to see the documentary. People in Perry County had an opportunity to get their questions about fracking answered.

The Perry County Landowner's Association hosted an informational meeting at the Somerset American Legion.  Executive Director of the Perry County Chamber of Commerce John Ulmer said the goal is to educate residents before the oil and gas industry makes its way to the area.

The Shale Task Force held an open meeting Friday with elected officials from all over Muskingum county.

The newly-created task force was established to keep those in the community informed about shale drilling projects within the area.
