One of Muskingum county's favorite annual Christmas parties is this week. The Fraternal Order of Police senior holiday dinner is this Thursday, December 6th at the Center for Seniors. This tradition of over 25 years is a great opportunity for the seniors in our county to get out and have some fun.

Zanesville police and other members of the community joined together to honor senior citizens Thursday at an annual luncheon at the Center for Seniors.  The event was put on by the Fraternal Order of Police and sponsored by other local businesses.  Along with local officers, community volunteers, including various youth organizations and elected officials were on hand to serve lunch to the local seniors.

More than a thousand senior citizens attended a free dinner, this afternoon, held by the Fraternal Order of Police in Zanesville.

This is the 25th anniversary for the FOP dinner for senior citizens. The FOP says it's law enforcement's way of saying thank you for all the support senior citizens give. Patrolman Tom Porter says it's an event the senior's look forward to every year.
