A man is taken to the hospital by Med Flight following an oil well explosion in Coshocton County.

Emergency personell were called to 15405 County Road 3 in Pike Township around 3:30 Thursday afternoon.

The Village of Frazeysburg put on their annual Homecoming parade this weekend.

Held on Saturday, the event, which draws hundreds from across the area raises money for the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department. And while the Village may be very small, it's fan base each year never seems to let up.

The Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department will soon start paying some of it's staff members.

According to Chief David Smith the Volunteer Fire Department will add paid staffing during daylight hours to ease the pressure when volunteer fire fighters are not available.

A special election was held Tuesday deciding a levy for the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department.

The levy passed by an overwhelming vote of 124 for the levy and only 19 votes cast against.

The 5-mill levy will generate around $73,000 for the department.

One local volunteer fire department may be shutting down.

The Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department is encountering severe budget issues due to a clerical error by the village. The Ohio Revised Code changed the deadline for levy submissions which went unnoticed by local officials. It's now leaving the fire department to suffer financially.
