A special election will be held in Muskingum County on Tuesday, February 8th. Polls will be open from 6:30am - 7:30pm. The issue on the ballot is a 5-mill fire levy for the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department.
"We have approximately 790 registered voters in the Village of Frazeysburg and I feel that maybe we will have a 15% turn out," said Elections Director, Chris Hamill.
If the issue does not pass, voters will see it on the ballot again.
The Muskingum County Board of Elections is preparing for their next project that is approaching this February.

A two-vehicle accident sends four people to the hospital on Sunday
It happened around 1 p.m. on Canal Road in Frazeysburg.
Frazeysburg Police Chief Nick Garver says that a 16-year-old male driving a black Nissan Altima was traveling through a parking lot at Frew Memorial Park when he fell asleep at the wheel. He went through a field going up and over an embankment and striking a white Ford Econoline van that was attempting to turn into a driveway.
A family in Frazeysburg is trying to collect what's left of their home, after it caught fire last night. Kelly Mcdonald was in the shower when she heard her smoke detector go off around 9:45 pm at the home at94 South State Street.
"I was at work when my wife called and said the house was on fire. I came home and found out the Christmas tree was blazing," Renter Aaron McDonald said.
The Frazeysburg Lions Club has more items to bid on at this year's Soup Supper and Public Auction...a total of 130.
It's the club's biggest fundraiser of the year, and members expect the event to bring in between five and six thousand dollars.
This is also the 33rd year for the event, and Public Auction Chairman, Gerald Howard, says it wouldn't be possible without help from the community. He says local businesses and individuals have donated the items....
