Icy conditions in Dresden presented challenges for fire fighters at the scene of a garage fire this evening. Chris Baruning of 5180 Fawn Drive called Falls Township Fire Department after 3 PM to extinguish a fire in his garage.

A Muskingum county man’s detached garage burned Tuesday afternoon.  It happened at 5180 Fawn Drive just after 3 p.m. to homeowner Chris Brauning. The cause of the garage fire remains under investigation.  No injuries were reported.  There were multiple fire department on the scene including Falls Township, Frazeysburg, Licking Township and Dresden.

A garage fire in Newton Township is being called suspicious, according to Lieutenant Mike Lecocq of the Muskingum County Sheriffs Office.

Lecocq said the fire at 7915 Old Town Rd. happened shortly after 9:30 Sunday evening. He said two separate calls came in- one in regards to the garage fire and another in regards to a truck fire, he said it wasn't until crews arrived they realized the incidents were one in the same.

A fire in Muskingum County destroyed a garage on Thursday evening.

Newton Township Fire Chief Allen Deaver said firefighters from Newton Township, Roseville and South Zanesville responded to a call around 5:30 PM.  He said the garage at 6050 Tignor Road was engulfed in flames when they arrived.

"There was a mechanic inside working on a small ATV," said Deaver.  "Initial reports are that something exploded."

An afternoon fire destroyed a New Lexington garage and injured one firefighter.

The pull out garage off Township Road 162A caught fire just after 2:00 p.m.

"We had the garage, flames coming out of the roof, half of it caved in and the woods were on fire," says Dyrall Newman the Battalion Chief with the Crooksville Fire Department.

Coshocton County Fire Investigators will spend Thursday on the scene of what's left after a large garage fire Wednesday night.

Conesville CFV Fire Chief Ray Worthington says a motorist possibly driving on State Route 16 noticed the garage fire at 46430 Township Road 483 and woke up the property's owner Jeremy Jacobs just before 11pm.
