Ohio gas prices are down to start the work week, following weeks of increases.  The cost for a gallon of regular gas in Ohio is averaging $3.51 in Monday’s survey from Auto Club AAA.  That’s 14 cents lower than last Monday.  Monday’s  price is 14 cents higher than a month ago, but is considerable lower than the $3.72 per gallon that Ohioans were paying a year ago.  The national average is about $3.53 per gallon, which is up a penny form last week,...

Pain at the pump continues for local residents here in Zanesville and the rest of the country.

Experts say Ohio motorists are paying almost 50 cents a gallon more for gasoline than they were a month ago after an eight cent jump in pump prices over the past week.  Local resident Chris Brown says increasing gas prices are affecting his whole family.

Ohio gas prices have shot up nearly 30 cents in the last week.

A survey from Auto Club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service, and Wright Express puts the state's average price for regular-grade gasoline at about $3.38 from $3.09 last Monday.

The gas prices keep rising, and local residents have something to say about it.

Mark Seevers says he hopes the gas prices are rising because of the holidays, so after that they can drop.  For now, Seevers keeps his traveling down to a minimum; driving to and from work.

"It's not very fun. driving an SUV, it's about 60 to 70 dollars for me to fill up every time," said Seevers.

Good news for those planning to travel on Labor Day.

According to AAA and the Oil Price information Service, regular unleaded gas is $2.51 per gallon in central Ohio, which is the lowest average price since May. While some drivers appreciate the drop in prices, other's don't care.

Local residents are forking over more money to fill up their tanks because a gallon of gas costs about $2.79 in Zanesville, and a majority of them are saying they're not happy with prices being that high.

"I'm a little disappointed that it went back up again because I really don't see any reason for that to be happening-I mean as far as economically and what's going on in the world. So, I'm not real happy with it, but what can you do about it? " says driver Kris Hoyt.
