AAA is predicting low prices at the pump in 2013.

The auto club says the drop in prices is due to lower demand and an increase in domestic oil production. While prices will be lower throughout the year, there could be a possible increase through April or early May, which is beneficial information for drivers planning that summer vacation.

An early Christmas gift for all Ohio drivers is the price of gas. Throughout the month of December, the cost of gas is continuously on the decline, leaving motorists plenty to be happy about.

Finally....the news is good for a change when it comes to gasoline prices.

Here in Zanesville gas is hovering around 3 dollars a gallon. In fact area drivers were in a long line at the Speedway on Maple Avenue where gas was $2.97 a gallon. We also heard reports of gasoline at $2.97 a gallon at Sam's Club on the north end of town. We stopped at JJ's on Linden Avenue where gas is $3.03 and talked to drivers.

Ohio drivers are paying about a dime less for a gallon of regular gas, but that doesn't seem to be the case here in Zanesville.

The average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.76 in Monday's survey from Auto Club AAA.  It was about $3.86 a week ago, but fell following the long Labor Day weekend, which usually marks the end of the summer driving season.  In Zanesville gas is selling for up to $3.99 for a gallon of regular.

Hurricane Isaac is having a huge impact on more than just the gulf coast.

According to gasbuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas spiked to an average of $3.95 per gallon in Zanesville, up nearly 50 cents from Monday.

Statewide, gas is up nearly ten cents from Monday's $3.75 per gallon price, with an average price of $3.84 per gallon Tuesday.
