Genesis Bethesda Hospital kicked off the holidays Friday with the offical lighting of the "Tree of Love."

The large fir tree is lit with hundreds of bulbs given in honor or memory of loved ones for a $5 donation. The names of those honored are also displayed in the main lobbies of the hospitals.

The Genesis Healthcare Foundation is announcing the recipient of the 2009 Genesis Community Service Award.

Carol Kohler was recognized tonight in front of family, friends, and colleagues.
