The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a case of embezzlement at Genesis Health Care System. Genesis Bethesda Hospital kicked off the holidays Friday with the offical lighting of the "Tree of Love."

The large fir tree is lit with hundreds of bulbs given in honor or memory of loved ones for a $5 donation. The names of those honored are also displayed in the main lobbies of the hospitals.

While many are still trying to find the perfect gift for this holiday season, others are giving the gift of life.

Around 50 organ donors and organ recipients gathered Wednesday night at Good Samaritan Hospital for the 2nd annual "Hope For The Holidays". The event is put on by both Genesis and Lifeline Of Ohio. Southeastern Ohio residents will no longer have to travel to Columbus for cardiac care.

The Genesis Healthcare Foundation is announcing the recipient of the 2009 Genesis Community Service Award.

Carol Kohler was recognized tonight in front of family, friends, and colleagues.

Kohler is a graduate of the Good Samaritan School of Nursing. She served the community as a nurse at the Good Samaritan Medical Center and Genesis before finally retiring back in 2001 as the Director of Surgical Services at Genesis.
