The Guernsey County Sheriff's Office said they've made an arrest in a fatal hit skip that took place Saturday.

Authorities said a tip called in to the sheriff's office led to a 29-year-old Kimbolton man being taken into custody Sunday morning.

The vehicle involved was located in a barn in the northwestern part of the county.

The Guernsey County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal accident that happened on Old Twenty One Road at 12:07 a.m. Saturday morning.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a 15-year old was riding a four-wheeler while towing a riding lawn mower operated by 14 year old. The juveniles were struck from behind by a red car that fled the scene.

A Cambridge man is in custody in connection with a stabbing earlier this week.

22-year-old Anthony Long has been charged with felonious assault. He's accused of stabbing 31-year-old Christopher Fogt of Cambridge Monday night.
 

The Guernsey County Sherrif's Office reports that the two were in Fogt's vehicle which was parked near the Valley View Trade Days site near Buffalo.

The Guernsey County Sheriff's Office says a Cambridge man shot and killed his 5 year-old son then turned the gun on himself in a murder suicide.

Sheriff Mike McCauley says around four Wednesday afternoon his office received a call from Beech Grove Head Start Center in Cambridge reporting that Jacob Ball failed to attend school that day. The Guernsey County Sheriff's Office is releasing the names of the victims involved in a double homicide Sunday morning near Cambridge. Sheriff Michael McCauley says 31-year-old Christopher and 25-year-old Justain Nelson of Cambridge both died from gunshot wounds. Around 3 a.m. Sunday morning the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call concerning shots being fired at an apartment in Coventry Estates near Cambridge.

Classes will resume at two area schools after they were evacuated Thursday due to bomb threats.

According to Lieutenant Dale Lyons of the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office, bomb threats were reportedly in the Rolling Hills Local School District at both Meadowbrook High And Middle Schools. Lyons says that no injuries were reported and the schools were evacuated so deputies could investigate.

There's a new way to stay informed about the crimes happening in your neighborhood.

Raids Online is a mapping system that connects law enforcement with the community.  Guernsey County Sheriff Mike McCauley said residents can receive crime alert emails and submit anonymous tips directly to the sheriff's office.

A Byesville man is in the Guernsey County Jail accused of biting a Sheriff's Deputy.

According to the Sheriff's Office, 31-year-old Clyde Heskett was charged Friday with one felony count of assault.
 

Authorities say Heskett allegedly bit a deputy during a domestic violence call last Saturday night in Byesville.
 

Heskett is scheduled to appear in Cambridge Municipal Court for a bond hearing on Monday at 1:00 p.m.
