Local organizations are taking steps to better meet the needs of the community.

Last year during the county fair, the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department began taking surveys about health issues in our community.

Those results were then reviewed by the Healthier Muskingum County Network, which consists of around 50 local organizations.

Thursday, members of those organizations met to vote on what they felt were the most important items.
