Three of six people charged after a party where Zanesville teenager Grant Hickman died this past summer were in Municipal Court this past week to resolve charges against them. Zanesville City Law Director Scott Hillis says six adults have now been charged in connection with a party where a teenager died. Hillis says this past summer on July 15th underage drinking took place at a home on Taylor Street. The juveniles who were present at the party where a Zanesville teenager died this past summer made their first court appearance Friday.

 Muskingum County Juvenile Court Director Dan Kieffer says seven males between the ages of 14 and 17 went before visiting Judge C. Finning Pierce from Coshocton. Their names are not being released.

Muskingum County Prosecutor Mike Haddox says a Special Prosecutor has been appointed to investigate the death of 14-year-old Grant Hickman. Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle made the appointment. Haddox says Mark Collins is a former Assistant Prosecutor from Franklin County who is now in private practice. Zanesville Police today issued a statement concerning the death of a 14-year-old boy. Detective Sergeant Ric Roush says detectives continue to investigate the death of Grant Hickman of Zanesville.
