Injuries are never timely, but days before the season kicks off is a whole different animal. The Blue Devils are suffering a huge blow to the strength of their defensive attack with Division I prospect and defensive end, Anthony Smith, suffering a sprained ankle. Before Justin Buttermore took over at Tri-Valley, the Scotties had 15 winning seasons in 54 years. Since Buttermore's arrival, the Dawgs have had four winning seasons and three playoff appearances.
