The Coshocton County Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit and run accident that took place early Saturday morning.
The Sheriff's Office said in a press release that at 2:03 a.m. they received a 9-1-1 call of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of South 3rd and Elm Streets.
The caller reported that the vehicle struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene.

A Crooksville family celebrated a solemn birthday.
The Savage family gathered to release balloons in honor of their family member David Savage Jr. Authorities say Savage was killed in a hit-and-run in July while walking along Route 93. Savage would have turned nineteen on Monday.

The Zanesville Police Department is searching for a driver who struck a child on a bike and then fled.
The accident happened shortly before 4:30 Tuesday at the intersection of Pine Street and Prospect Avenue. According to Lt. Tony Coury, an 11-year-old boy was riding his bike on Prospect and was struck by a northbound car when crossing Pine.
The woman who hit the boy stopped briefly and then fled.
