The number of homeless people in Muskingum County is on the rise. On January 24th the Muskingum County Continuum of Care held a Point-in-Time homeless count. A local group sees a slight rise in the number of unsheltered homeless living in our area during their homeless count.
This year the Muskingum County Continuum of Care interviewed eight unsheltered individuals, observed eight more and came across fifteen sites where people were thought to be living. It's up from the 19 of last year's count.
